About Us
Our Story
Rooted in Culture. Driven by Purpose.
Plana for Success began with a vision: to create more than a brand — to build a movement that uplifts, educates, and inspires the African American community while preserving legacy for future generations.
Founded by Lauren Yanthis, Plana is a labor of love that grew into a family-driven venture. While it started with one person’s idea, it was nurtured by the values of hard work, education, and cultural pride.
Why We Exist
Too many of our stories go untold. Too many of our students face barriers that keep them from reaching their full potential. Plana was created to change that — by honoring legacy, amplifying voices, and reinvesting directly into the community through philanthropy and opportunity.
What Family Means to Us
Plana is a family-grown business, but in our culture, family has never meant blood alone. Family is every auntie, mentor, teacher, coach, and friend who shows up with love and support along the journey. It’s the collective strength of community that makes success possible. That extended sense of family — the village — is at the heart of Plana. It’s proof that none of us succeed alone, and it’s why everything we do is designed to pour back into others.
Our Commitment
At Plana, we live by six guiding values:
- Cultural Grounding – Honoring the richness of African American history and heritage.
- Empowerment – Uplifting individuals to own their stories and define success on their own terms.
- Legacy – Building something lasting for future generations.
- Education & Growth – Supporting lifelong learning and curiosity.
- Representation – Reflecting Black excellence boldly and unapologetically.
- Authenticity – Creating with care, speaking with intention, and honoring lived experiences.
